Furthermore, authorities said in a statement Monday that Obdulia Sanchez, 23, had been driving the car when it veered off the shoulder of the road about 75 miles northwest of Fresno.

He believes the crash was simply an accident; California Highway Patrol reported that the driver overcorrected and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, nor were the two teenage girls in the backseat wearing them.
Thankfully, another girl in the backseat survived with a leg injury, though still grieves over the loss of her sister.
